Amazon do not want to help you.

Amazon do not want to help you

I recently purchased an SSD from Amazon. So excited was I, extra coin was paid for the 2 day express delivery. 4 days past with no sign of shiny thing, contact I must, I thought to self. 2 hours googling left one sad, and no more enlightened.

 Seriously though,

I did happen to cross the help page, which had various links to forums and a pretty "Contact us" icon. But having seen where the link took me made me think I was in the wrong place.

The link took me here.

No phone number, no email no online chat.
After trawling through the forums It became obvious I wasn't the only person to have encountered this, though I did manage to find a number that put me through to an American Customer support line, which had me in a queue for 15 minutes, put me on hold for another 10 minutes and never called me back after failing to resolve my problem.

The courier UPS informed me that the item was currently in Helsinki customs awaiting duty to be paid, an invoice to say this was my item and proof of identification. After calling UPS they confirmed that the duty should have been paid by Amazon and that I will receive a call in 3 days time by the customs officer in charge of the case.

I really hope this is resolved soon as I can not afford another pointless 40 minute call to America.

Whats going on Amazon?

Update,

I was finally contacted through email by a customer support agent. I explained how I was getting passed too and fro, from Amazon.com to Amazon.co.uk and he assured me the next day he would call me via telephone to prevent this from happening. He never called.

A week later the item arrived.
